Life To Life
Pat Johnson
When my 25 year old son died from an accidental drug overdose, it was the worse pain, actual physical pain, I have ever felt with the loss of someone I love. During those initial moments of learning that Randy was gone, I remember hearing myself calling for Jesus to help me. Even though I knew Randy was safe in the arms of Jesus I was in need. He met that need through fellow believers who held me up and walked with me through the dark valley. I’ve always been a firm believer that God will not give us more than we can handle with Him by our side. My life will never be the same since losing Randy, but because I know that he is safe with his Heavenly Father, I also know that I will see him again one day soon! I believe with all of my heart and soul in the promise our Lord made to us that if we believe in Him, even if we die, we live!
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?’" John 11:25-26 (ESV)
Yes, I believe.

Randy had been taking a class in church and here are his answers to questions in the workbook called Growing Beyond Life’s Hurts, a Christ-centered Recovery Handbook.
Who Am I?
"A tadpole in the Christian pond hungry for knowledge and ready to grow in Christ and recovery."
What is your prayer request for yourself or others? "To know His will and follow it meaningfully and put my all into it."
How does knowing the truth make you free? "Knowing the truth means you can look at yourself honestly, acknowledge your past which allows you to overcome similar situations in the future. The truth about Christ and your salvation gives you faith and faith = freedom.”
