About RIZPAH

Statement of Faith

  1. All prayer is directed to God. There is but one God Who exists in three Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - and these three are one, the same in substance, equal in power and glory. He is True and the Source of all Truth, and He alone is to be worshipped.
  2. All prayer is through and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. God has revealed Himself in nature, more fully in the Holy Scriptures, and wholly in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the very image of the invisible God, the exact representation of His nature. Born of a virgin, Jesus lived a sinless and perfect life, died a substitutionary death for sinners on the cross, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He was exalted and from whence He now intercedes for His people. All authority in heaven and earth belongs to Jesus, Who will return in glory to rule the world. Salvation is by faith in Christ and Christ alone.
  3. All true prayer is energized by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, and God’s people are dependant upon Him for direction, power and help in every endeavor, including the work of prayer.
  4. Prayer must be rooted in the Word of God, which is contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.  Proceeding from a perfect God, the Scriptures are perfectly reliable and a great resource in the work of prayer.

Mission

The mission of RIZPAH is to faithfully intercede to God our Heavenly Father on behalf of our sons and daughters, primarily for their eternal salvation and present protection.  Our intercessions are rooted in the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the knowledge that the Holy Spirit alone can change their hearts and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

Vision

Members of RIZPAH bear one another’s burdens by praying together and encouraging each other.  Our vision is to be bold, effective intercessors and to be a supportive network of like-minded women.
